IT'S THE SOLDIER

It's the soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the
PRESS.

It's the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of
SPEECH.

It's the soldier, not the campus
ORGANIZER,
Who has given us the freedom to
DEMONSTRATE.

It's the soldier, not the lawyer,
Who has given us the right to a
FAIR TRIAL.

It's the soldier who salutes the flag,
Serves under the flag
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who gives the protester the right to burn the flag.

1:06, substituting kipping pullups for L-pullups.

A personal note about patriotism. When I was preparing to run a 5K in Central Park last year and the national anthem came on, I was the only person in sight to stop talking, remove my hat, and sing. EVERYONE kept talking to their friends, stretching, bending, oblivious. After a few seconds, I couldn't take it. I yelled at the top of my lungs "HATS OFF!!" and a couple of people noticed and said the anthem. A 60+ year old guy noticed and thanked me.

Then a few weeks ago I was in Austin TX also preparing to run a 5k. The national anthem came on. EVERYONE stopped what they were doing, removed their hats, put their right hands over their hearts, and sang along.

I don't know what this all means, but these were two extremes.

DAMN I POSTED STH ON THE PRIOR DAY BY ACCIDENT. CHECK IT OUT... GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE TODAY.

1:08:30 with the usual modifications - we definitely needed the extra time to finish this one. Excellent hard work by the holiday die-hard crew.

Special shout out to Monica who rocked the pullups.

Happy Memorial Day all --

Leo- great to hear from you brother! You must be coming back to Boston to visit sometime soon?

Good workout. got this one done in 1:07:32. She was a doozy.

Everyone compare the pics Neal posted of Monica and I running, I am coming back and have a look of dying agony on my face while Monica is smiling and looks like she could just keep on going. Theres something wrong you Mon, and I like it.

I'm off for the sun of Hawaii for a couple of weeks so Ill see all you suckers in a bit. Keep working hard.

Peace,
Titanium Bones

This one was a doozy. Had to substitute jumping pullups for the last 20. Finished in just a shade under 45 minutes. (44:52)
